ISRO YUVIKA 2020: Online Registrations to End Soon, Here’s How to Register

Online registrations for the ISRO YUVIKA 2020 or the ISRO young scientist programme 2020, which is currently underway, will soon come to an end. The programme, which is being organised by the Indian Space Research Organisation for schools students who have finished 8th standard and are currently studying in 9th standard in the academic year 2019-2020, will be conducted from 11 to 22 May 2020.

The last date for the online registrations will end on 24 February 2020 at 6 pm IST. On 2 March 2020, the list of provisionally selected students from each state will be announced. The provisionally selected students will then be requested to upload the attested copies of the relevant certificates on or before 23 March 2020. After verifying the relevant certificates the final selection list will be published on 30 March 2020.

How to Register for ISRO YUVIKA 2020?

Interested and eligible students need to first visit the official ISRO YUVIKA page in order to register for the young scientist programme. Students will then have to do the following:

  1. Enter the name and email address of the student.
  2. Then enter the captcha value, and generate OTP, which will be sent to the email address that was provided by the student.
  3. Students can see their OTP in the Inbox of their email, which can be opened either in mobile or another window in the same PC.
  4. The received OTP should be entered in the next screen to validate the provided e-mail address.
  5. Once the e-mail id is successfully activated for ISRO YUVIKA 2020 registration, a unique password is sent to the inbox of the e-mail address.
  6. Students may then login using their e-mail address as user-id and YUVIKA password.
  7. The online application form will then need to be filled by providing details such as name, parents name, contact information, school name, academic record, prizes won and so on.
  8. Relevant documents will need to be produced upon selection to validate the details entered in the form.

Where will ISRO YUVIKA 2020 be Held?

The selected students will be required to stay in any one of the following four ISRO or DOS centres:

  • Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Thiruvananthapuram.
  • U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), Bengaluru.
  • Space Applications Centre (SAC), Ahmedabad.
  • North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC), Shillong.
