ISRO recruitment 2022 has been announced for 17 new junior research fellow vacancies available at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC)

ISRO recruitment 2022 is being conducted at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), which is a premier centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). VSSC has issued a fresh notification stating the availability of 17 new junior research fellow vacancies in its Space Physics Laboratory (SPL), which conducts front ranking research in different disciplines of atmospheric, space, and planetary sciences. Those selected will be paid a monthly salary of up to Rs 31,000 with a possibility of the salary to be increased to Rs 35,000 as senior research fellowship (SRF), after two years, on successful completion and review of research work of the previous two years by a review committee.

Who Can Apply for ISRO Recruitment 2022?

Te latest ISRO recruitment notification issued on the VSSC website says that there are 17 new junior research fellow vacancies for which candidates with an MSc degree in physics, applied physics, engineering physics, space physics, atmospheric science, meteorology or planetary sciences with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks or CGPA or CPI grading of 6.84 on a 10 point scale or equivalent or MTech in atmospheric science, space science, planetary science, applied physics, or engineering physics with a minimum of 60% marks as average of all semesters in aggregate or CGPA or CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10 point scale or equivalent.

Furthermore, applicants need to note that the following eligibility criteria need to be met as well:

• CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test, including NET-Lectureship.
• Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by MHRD.
• Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST).
