ISRO Recruitment 2021: VSSC has invited applications for 19 new vacancies for engineers, postgraduates and doctoral degree holders

ISRO Recruitment 2021: The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, which is a centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation that focuses on rocket and space vehicles for India's satellite programme, has announced the availability of 19 new vacancies for which engineers, postgraduates and doctoral degree holders may apply. The vacancies available are that of junior research fellow, senior project associate and research associate for which applications need to be submitted online. Those selected for JRF vacancies will be paid a monthly salary of Rs 31,000, while those selected for SPA and RA will be paid Rs 42,000 and 47,000, respectively.

Who Can Apply for the Recruitment Drive at ISRO?

The official notification says that there are a total of 19 vacancies our of which 16 are for junior research fellows, one is for senior project associate, and two are for research associate. The details of the vacancies are as follows:

  • There are two JRF vacancies for candidates with an ME or MTech or equivalent in metallurgy, or material science and engineering in first-class along with a BE or BTech in metallurgy, or material science and engineering or mechanical engineering.
  • There are three JRF vacancies for candidates with an ME or MTech or equivalent in chemical engineering in first-class along with a BE or BTech in chemical engineering or MSc in chemistry.
  • There is one JRF vacancy for candidates with an ME or MTech or equivalent in embedded systems, VLSI, microelectronics, VLSI and microelectronics in first-class along with a BE or BTech in first-class in similar fields.
  • There is one JRF vacancy for candidates with an ME or MTech or equivalent in embedded polymer engineering or rubber technology in first-class along with a BE or BTech in first-class in similar fields.
  • There are two JRF vacancies for candidates with an ME or MTech or equivalent in aerospace or mechanical engineering in first-class along with a BE or BTech in in first-class in similar fields.
  • There is one JRF vacancy for candidates with an ME or MTech or equivalent in design, thermal engineering, structural or mechanical engineering in first-class along with a BE or BTech in first-class in similar fields.
  • There is one JRF vacancy for candidates with an MSc in physics.
  • There are four JRF vacancies for candidates with an Msc in chemistry.
  • There are three SPA, and RA vacancies for which candidates with a PhD may apply.

How to Apply for ISRO Jobs?

Interested and eligible candidates will have to submit online applications for JRF and SPA vacancies on the VSSC website before 9 April 2021, and for RA vacancies an application needs to be sent via email along with the required documents. Applicants are advised to go through the ISRO recruitment 2021 notification in detail before submitting applications.
