ISRO Recruitment 2021: Online Applications for 61 Vacancies Ends Soon, Check Important Details

Online applications for ISRO recruitment 2021 being carried out for 61 Scientist or Engineer SD, and Scientist or Engineer SC vacancies at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre will soon come to an end. Although these vacancies were notified by the Indian Space Research Organisation last year, the online application portal was opened last week yet again to provide an opportunity for candidates who have graduated in the required specialized areas during the lockdown, which “adversely affected” the schedule of the recruitment activities planned for these posts. Candidates selected for the Scientist or Engineer SD will be paid a salary of Rs 90,000, and candidates selected for the Scientist or Engineer SC vacancies will be paid a salary of Rs 74,600 per month.

Who can Apply for ISRO Recruitment 2021 at VSSC?

Eligible candidates may apply for 61 vacancies out of which 19 vacancies are for Scientist or Engineer SD, for which the qualification required is PhD in physics, aerospace, atmospheric science, meteorology, space science or planetary science, dynamics modelling and control of aerospace vehicle, and so on.

There are also 42 are for Scientist or Engineer SC vacancies for which the qualifications required are ME or MTech in industrial engineering, control systems engineering, control and instrumentation, control and guidance or control and computing, industrial safety engineering, material science and engineering, material engineering or surface engineering, aerospace engineering or aeronautical engineering, and so on. Interested and eligible candidates need to keep the following points in mind prior to applying for the 61 vacancies at VSSC:

• The last date to apply for the vacancies is 3 January 2021 up to 5 pm IST, and only candidates who possess those required qualifications as on the closing date of applications need to apply.
• While there is no upper age limit for Scientist or Engineer SD vacancies, Scientist or Engineer SC vacancies have an upper age limit of 35.
• A non-refundable online application fee of Rs 250 needs to be paid through credit card, debit card, or internet banking through the Integrated SBI ePay facility.
• Candidates who have already applied for the posts earlier or attended the interview need not apply again and their candidature will be considered along with the fresh applications.
