ISRO Recruitment 2020: Trade Apprentice Vacancies Announced at ISRO Centre, Salary up to Rs 7668

ISRO recruitment 2020 is being conducted at the Indian Space Research Organisation’s Centre Space Applications Centre (SAC), Ahmadabad for several trade apprentice vacancies. SAC focuses on design of space borne instruments for terrestrial and planetary missions of ISRO and development and operationalisation of space technology for national development. The selected trade apprentices will be engaged under Apprentice Act 1961 and be trained for one year. Those selected would also be eligible for a salary of up to Rs 7688.

Who can Apply for ISRO Recruitment 2020?

According to the official notification issued on the SAC website, candidates who have an SSC, 10th, or Matric and ITI (NCVT or SCVT) from a recognized institute of Gujarat State in the following trades can apply for the trade apprentice vacancies:

1. Computer Operator and Programming Assistant
2. Carpenter
3. Draughtsman Mechanical
4. Draughtsman Civil
5. Machinist
6. Fitter
7. Turner
8. Painter General
9. Lab Attendant Chemical Plant
10. Attendant Operator Chemical Plant
11. Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
12. (Electronics Mechanic and Radio TV
13. Electrician

The stipend for post code 1 and 2 will be Rs 7000 per month, and for post code 3 to 13 will be Rs 7668 per month. Successful completion of apprenticeship training does not make the apprentices eligible for direct employment in Space Applications Centre or any other units of Indian Space Research Organization or Department of Space, says the notification.

Interested and eligible Indian nationals need to apply for the trade apprentice vacancies online only on the official SAC website. Candidates need to first register by providing a valid email address after which applicants will be provided with a 14 digits online registration number, which should be carefully preserved for future reference as this will be used for all future correspondence. Online applications will be accepted from 5 February to 21 February 2020 5 pm IST.
