Online registrations for ISRO recruitment 2020 being conducted to engage two candidates for the positions of research scientists will soon come to an end. The last date to apply for the vacancies available at the Indian Space Research Organisation’s centre the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre is 17 December 2020 until 5 PM IST. Selected candidates will be engaged for a period of three years on contract, and will be paid a salary of Rs 74,000.

Who can Apply for ISRO Recruitment 2020?

The notification issued on the VSSC website says that for the two research scientist vacancies, candidates with an MSc degree in meteorology or atmospheric sciences in first class with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks or CGPA or CPI grading of a minimum of 6.84 on a 10 scale or equivalent can apply.

The nature of the job includes data product generation based on round the clock Doppler Weather Radar (DWR) scheduler mode operation, data validation and support in calibration and maintenance of RADAR. The number of vacancies may increase or decrease based on the actual requirement, and only candidates who possess the required qualification as of the last date of application only need to apply. Furthermore, the age limit of the applicants is 35 years.

Interested candidates will have to submit applications through the online form available on the VSSC website. The candidates registered under National Career Service (NCS) portal and fulfilling the eligibility conditions may apply, and after online application, all communications will be made to the applicants through e-mail or the VSSC website. Upon online registration, applicants will be provided with a registration number, which should be preserved by applicants for future reference. Apart from submitting the online applications, applicants need not send any documents or certificates to VSSC.
