ISRO recruitment 2020 is currently underway at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, which is a premier centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation. There are two Research Scientist vacancies for which candidates with a postgraduate degree can apply. Selected candidates will be engaged on a contract basis for a period of three years, and will be eligible for a salary of Rs 56,100 to 1,77,500, which equates to Level 10 of the pay matrix.

The notification, currently available on the ISRO website, says that for the two Research Scientist vacancies candidates with an MSc degree in meteorology or atmospheric sciences in first class with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks, which is an average of all semesters or CGPA or CPI grading of a minimum of 6.84 on a 10 scale or equivalent can apply.
All applications will be received online only. “Government strives to have a workforce which reflects gender balance and women candidates are encouraged to apply,” says the notification. More details of the nature of the job and qualifications required will be made available on the VSSC website.

Interested and eligible candidates will have to submit an online application on the official website of the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre starting from 3 December 2020 10 am IST up to 17 December 2020 5 pm. Upon online registration, applicants will be provided with an online registration number, which should be carefully preserved for future reference. The candidates are also advised to take a printout of the online application for future reference.
