ISRO recruitment 2020 for fresh scientist/engineer and scientific assistant vacancies is being conducted at the North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC), Umiam. Although NESAC is an autonomous body, and the recruitment is being conducted primarily for the organization, selected candidates are also liable to be posted in any of the ISRO centres or units of the Department of Space situated anywhere in India as and when required. Selected candidates will also be eligible for a salary of Rs 56,100 for scientist/engineer vacancies and Rs 44,900 for scientific assistant vacancy.

Who can Apply for ISRO Recruitment 2020 at NESAC?

According to the official notification issued on the NESAC website, there are a total of 6 vacancies of which 5 are for scientist/engineer posts and one is for scientific assistant post. The qualification required for the 5 scientist/engineer posts are as follows:

  1. Candidates with a first class in ME or MTech in Civil Engineering with specialization and experience in water resources. Candidates need to also possess a BE or BTech Degree in Civil Engineering, Agriculture Engineering, Water Resource Engineering in First Class.
  2. Candidates with a first class in ME or MTech in fields related to Geoinformatics or IT. Candidates need to also possess a BE or BTech Degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent, Civil Engineering or equivalent or Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent or Geo-informatics, Geomatics or equivalent in first class.
  3. Candidates with an MSc in Botany with specialization in fields related to forestry and ecology.
  4. Candidates with a first class in ME or MTech in Electronics and related fields.
  5. Candidates with a postgraduate degree in fields related to Urban and Regional Planning or Candidates with a first class in ME or MTech in fields related to Geoinformatics or IT.

Furthermore, for the one scientific assistant post, the qualification required is as follows:

  1. First Class in BSc with Physics as Honours, Major, or Main Subject.

How to Apply for ISRO Recruitment 2020 at NESAC?

The only mode of application available is online on the official NESAC website, which begins from 27 January 2020 and goes on until 16 February 2020 until 3 pm IST. Interested and eligible candidates are advised to go through the notification in detail before applying for the posts.
