ISRO Offers Two New Online Courses on Remote Sensing, Limited Number of Seats Available

ISRO is offering two new online courses on remote sensing for which candidates will be allowed to register on a first come first serve basis

ISRO centre Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) is currently accepting applications for two new online courses on remote sensing, which will be conducted from 17 August onwards. One online course titled “Remote Sensing Geographical Information System and Global Navigation Satellite System” will be conducted from 17 August to 20 November 2020.

Furthermore, another online course titled “Remote Sensing and Digital Image Analysis” will be conducted from 17 August to 20 November 2020. Interested candidates will have to register for the courses soon as there is a limited number of seats and online registration will be done a first come first serve basis.

Who Can Apply for ISRO IIRS Course on Remote Sensing?

ISRO IIRS online courses are open to professionals from central or state governments, private organizations, NGO as well as students and researchers. The online application is also open for users attending programmes under CEC-UGC, CIET and other networks. Institutions on high-speed National KnowledgeNetwork (NKN) can also participate.

How to Apply for ISRO IIRS Course on Remote Sensing?

Interested participants will need to fill an online application form on the official IIRS website, chose from the list of institutions available, and fill personal details such as name, address, educational qualifications, address and so on. Submitted applications will be carefully reviewed by a higher authority and will then be accepted or rejected. Online classes will be conducted on the E-class portal, and study material will be made available there as well.

How to Get Institution Registered for ISRO IIRS Outreach Programmes?

A designated coordinator will have to enter the following details on the website: type of organisation and its details, complete details of the coordinator like name, designation, email ID and address, and request or willingness letter signed by the head of the organisation addressed to Director, IIRS regarding interest to participate in IIRS Outreach Programme. Those who wish to register themselves for the online courses by ISRO IIRS are advised to go through the official website in detail.
