The Indian Space Research Organisation has announced the inauguration of its Space Theme Park at Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh on the 31st March 2019. The facility will be inaugurated by the ISRO Chairman, Dr K Sivan, one day before the PSLV-C45 EMISAT Launch.

ISRO, in its official website mentions, that a ‘Space Theme Park is being realized at SDSC SHAR to enable the citizens of this nation to witness the launches taking place from the space port of India’.

The theme park will include a Rocket Garden which will have photo points for visitors and sounding rocket, SLV, ASLV, PSLV, GSLV, Mk-III will be available with a provision to go inside. There will also be a dedicated launch gallery for thousands of people to sit and witness the rocket launches live. Further to that, a space museum which will explain the history of ISRO, technology, applications and so on will also be created.

The website displays a link available to register to witness the upcoming PSLV-C45 EMISAT launch live on 1st April 2019 at 9:30 AM. Those interested need to only provide a government recognized photo ID and the number of people wishing to witness the facility. The nearest railway station is Sullurpeta, which is 18 Km away from Sriharikota, and limited public or private transport is available from Sullurpeta to Sriharikota.
