ISRO, through its centre the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, has invited applications from interested participants for a free online course on Advances in SAR-Polarimetry and Interferometry. The course will be conducted from 14 to 18 December 2020, and participants will also receive a certificate upon completion of the course.
Since participants are taking the course from home, examination and invigilation to reward a certificate would not be possible. Therefore IIRS recently announced on its website that the management has decided to make the examination as “Self-assessment” practice for IIRS distance learning courses till further notice. Participants will receive a certificate of participation based on 70 percent attendance during the course. Attendees can also take an online self-assessment quiz for enhancing their knowledge and skills, says IIRS.
How to Enroll for ISRO Online Course on Advances in SAR-Polarimetry and Interferometry?
Interested participants will have to enroll on the official IIRS Edusat portal by entering their personal, professional or educational details, and uploading photo as well as identification proof. Applicants will also have to select the name of the institute with which they are associated from the list available on the IIRS website.
Suppose the name of the institute is not available on the official website, a designated coordinator from the respective organisation can get its name listed by entering the required details and clicking on a declaration stating that since ISRO IIRS outreach programmes are free, no fee will be charged from students. Those who wish to know more about the ISRO IIRS outreach programmes are advised to go through the official website for more information.
