ISRO Invites Applications for Free Training in Aerospace Welding and CNC Machining, Here’s Who Can Apply

ISRO has invited applications for a free training program on aerospace welding and CNC machining to be conducted at NSTI, Bengaluru

ISRO, through its newly formed commercial arm NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), is offering a free training program in partnership with National Skill Training Institute, Bengaluru for which applications have been invited. This is a residential skill development program which will be conducted at the National Skill Training Institute, which is an organisation that has been entrusted with the responsibility of training Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Welder, Electronic Mechanic, Electrician and CSA trades.

Those selected for the training program will not be charged any course fee, and will also be provided free boarding for the duration of the program. Furthermore, second-class train fares will also be reimbursed upon furnishing proof. The free training program will be held at NSTI from 22 March to 23 April 2021, as per information provided on the website of the Indian Space Research Organisation.

Who can Apply for the ISRO Free Training Program?

The website mentions that candidates with the following qualifications may apply for the residential skill development program to be held by NSIL in partnership with NSTI:

  • Only Indian nationals can apply for the program.
  • Applicants must possess a valid certificate in welder, fitter, machinist, or turner trades.
  • Candidates with or without any work experience may apply.
  • The age limit of the applicants should not exceed 25 years as of 1 March 2021.

How to Apply for the ISRO Free Training Program?

Interested and eligible applicants will have to submit online applications before 12 March 2021 before 5 pm IST. Applicants will first have to enter their name, and then email address after which an OTP should be generated. Upon generating the OTP, the one-time password will be sent to the Email ID entered by the applicant. The received OTP should be entered in the next screen to validate the Email ID after which the application form can be filled.
