ISRO Cyberspace Competition 2020, which was announced by the India Space Research Organisation, is now open for online registrations from school students across the country. “During the present COVID-19 challenging times, when physical meetings are near impossible, ISRO plans to play its unifying role for the young minds of our country by involving them in various online competitions showcasing their potential talents by organising online ISRO Cyberspace Competitions–2020 (ICC 2020),” said a statement from the organisation.

The competition is open for school students from classes one to twelve and will be conducted completely online as physical travel of the students to different places needs to be avoided under the current scenario. ISRO aims to tap the creativity, inquisitiveness, innovativeness harnessing the unbound imagination of school students towards Space Science and Technology through ICC 2020.

Details of the ISRO Cyberspace Competition 2020 for Schools Students

The competition is open to all school students studying in India, and all competitions are individual events. Students will need to show their identity card issued by their schools for the current academic year to take part in the competition. The details of the competitions are as follows:

  1. Drawing competition for Class 1 to 3.
  2. Model making competition for Class 4 to 8.
  3. Essay competition for class 9 to 10 (both Hindi and English).
  4. Essay competition / Space-Quiz contest for class 11 to 12 (both Hindi and English).

Dates to Remember and Important Rules for the ISRO Cyberspace Competition 2020

  • The online registrations for the competition have already begun, and students will have to register on the official website before 24 June 2020.
  • A unique registration number will be generated and provided to each student against successful registration.
  • One student can register and participate in only one competition.
  • The name of the submission from the student will be the same as the name of the registration number.

Certificates from ISRO for Participants

The Indian Space Research Organization will provide participation certificates through e-mail to all participant students. Furthermore, the names of the top 500 students will be announced on the ISRO website and merit certificates will be dispatched by e-mail or post.
