Is Sony Xperia Z Ultra Smartphone tempting?

Sony India has unveiled Xperia Z Ultra 6.4-inch phablet recently, with few added features, though not so impressive. With new device, the company aims to reinvigorate its already crumbling mobility business. Xperia Z Ultra seems to be just another Samsung-like device.

Launched at a price point of Rs. 46,990, the device is already selling at close to Rs 44,500 in various e-stores. The price is likely to come down further after its general availability in channel marketplace. It's features Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS, and 2GB of RAM, while devices of similar specs are already available under 30k.

Sony Xperia Z Ultra Smartphone comes with 3,000 mAh battery that could provide merely 10-hour of talk time, if not less. It features 8MP rear camera and 2MP front camera, and has 16GB of internal storage capability.Based on monstrous 2.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, the devices has 6.44-inch full HD TFT Triluminos display. For enhanced audio, the new Smartphone is equipped with ClearAudio+ mode and Xloud loudness enhancement.

But, will all these features impress consumers?
