IOCL recruitment 2020 is currently underway for 600 apprentice vacancies. While 500 vacancies were notified in February this year, the online application portal has been re-opened with 100 additional vacancies. Candidates who have already applied from 22 February to 20 March 2020 need not apply again says the website. Selected apprentices will be eligible for a stipend as prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973, or Apprentices Rules 1992 (as amended) and Corporation’s guidelines.
Who can Apply for IOCL Recruitment 2020?
The official notification on the IOCL website mentions that for the Technician Apprentice vacancies candidates with a 3 years diploma in engineering from a recognized institute or university with minimum 50 percent marks in aggregate for General and OBC candidates, and 45 percent in case of SC or ST candidates can apply against the following streams: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Civil Engineering.
For the Trade Apprentice vacancies, candidates with a regular full-time ITI recognized by NCVT or SCVT in the following trades can apply: Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, - Data Entry Operator, Retail Sales Associate and Machinist.
The period of training will be 12 and 15 months based on the position for which the candidates are selected. Candidates can apply for only one post, and multiple applications under the name of the same person will not be entertained, says the notification.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the relevant vacancies until 21 June 2020 midnight on the official rectt.in website. Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in the written test (duration 90 minutes) and the meeting notified eligibility criteria.
