IOCL Invites Applications for Consultant Vacancies, Salary Rs 10,000 Per Day

IOCL is accepting applications from experienced professionals for two consultant vacancies available on contract engagement on a temporary basis. The vacancies available are that of geologist and drilling engineer consultant who will be responsible for providing technical support or guidance to Geoscientists of the E&P department towards self-sufficiency and guidance in drilling operations in exploration activities. Those selected will be paid a salary of Rs 10,000 per day and will be allowed to work for 150 days in a year.

Who Can Apply for IOCL Vacancies?

The notification issued on the IOCL website says that there is one vacancy each for geologist and drilling engineer for which the qualifications required are as follows:

• Geologist: The applicant should have a post-graduate degree in applied geology or geology from a reputed and recognized institute or university in India or abroad. The candidate should have a minimum of 20 years of professional experience in petroleum exploration in India covering the whole spectrum of exploration, development and production assets. Further, higher qualifications and additional relevant experience will be accorded more weightage, says the notification.
• Drilling engineer: The candidates desirous of obtaining this position should have BE or BTech in mechanical or petroleum engineering or equivalent qualification from a reputed and recognized university or institute. They should have minimum 20 years of professional experience in drilling engineering services in India or abroad in the area of oil and gas exploration, development or production.
