New Update

The discussion has heated around whether Indian retail broadband users will have access to ultra-fast internet speeds of one gigabit per second (Gbps) by mid-2013. The fuss started after Radius Infratel CEO Rajnish Wahi said that in the next 6-9 months, I Gbps plans would be available for retail internet users. If it happens, it will allow users to download two hour HD movie in just 30 seconds.

Radius Infratel which is into broadband infrastructure is possibly working with operators whose names it does not want to disclose right now. The speed will in fact usher a new era of fast computing in India and drive the growth of internet services, mainly in the enterprise and business segments where better speed is in great demand.
