Infosys scholarship 2023 has been announced for underprivileged girl students pursuing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The software giant aims at encourage such students and providing financial assistance, thereby helping them pursue an undergraduate degree in STEM. Some of the primary factors discouraging students from pursuing a course and career in STEM are lack of access, mentorship, and monetary constraints.
For the first phase of the scholarship, 2000 girls will be selected from across the country from reputed colleges. A sum of Rs 1 lakh will be provided annually, and selected students will be supported for four years. The scholarship will cover the following requirements:
- Tuition fees.
- Living expenses.
- Study materials.
Who Can Apply for the Infosys Scholarship 2023?
The scholarship opportunity is open to female students who are pursuing their educations from the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) accredited institutes that include, the IITs, BITS-Pilani, NITs, and renowned medical colleges. The qualifications required are as follows:
- Girl students who are citizens of India.
- Applicant’s annual family income must be less than or equal to Rs 8,00,000.
- Applicants must have obtained admission into the identified colleges and completed their Class 12.
- Ongoing performance score should be a CGPA of 7 in engineering and such related courses and a pass qualification in all subjects for the year in MBBS for continuity till the completion of the course.
Documents Required to Apply for Infosys Scholarship 2023
Interested students need to furnish the following details in order to be considered for the scholarship:
- Class 12 marksheet and passing certificates along with the JEE, CET or NEET score card.
- A government-issued identity proof such as Aadhaar card, voter ID card, driving license or PAN card.
- Current year admission proof including fee receipt, admission letter, institution identity card or bonafide certificate.
- Family income proof certificate issued by appropriate government offices, BPL or similar card, or Ayushman Bharat card.
- Electricity bills of the past 6 months to be provided as an additional supporting document.
- Bank account details of the applicant such as bank passbook or cancelled cheque.
- Recent passport-size photograph.
