Infosys a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting has marked a significant move in its expansion efforts with the inauguration of a new development center at the Mihan-SEZ in Nagpur, Maharashtra. This new development center has been constructed within 265000 sq ft with an investment of INR 230 crore. It has seamlessly integrated art and science to provide an optimal environment for technological innovation.
This newly inaugurated development center is designed to accommodate over 3000 employees. It is a strategic investment that reflects Infosy’s commitment to fostering flexibility in work arrangements while prioritizing the reskilling and upskilling of potential talent. The center is supposed to serve as a hub for cultivating expertise in advanced technologies such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital solutions across diverse industries.
The inauguration ceremony was witnessed by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra DEvenfre Fadnvis. Other notable figures from Infosys including Nilanjan Roy, Chief Financial Officer, Sunil Kumar Dhareshwar, Executive Vice President, Tarang Puranik, Senior Vice President, and Niladri Prasad Mishra, Vice President, were present alongside senior government officials.
In alliance with Infosy’s Environmental Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments and green building standards the newly established office is said to be adhering to the highest standards of occupant health, efficiency, and sustainability. The facility incorporates innovative systems to minimize the consumption of natural resources, including energy and water. The development center stands as a testament to Infosys’ dedication to environmentally conscious practices from low-energy cooling systems to smart building automation, efficient rainwater harvesting, and 100% recycling of waste water.
