Infosys Expands Its Presence in Europe with a New Proximity Center in Bulgaria

Infosys, a global leader in digital services and consulting, unveiled its new proximity center in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Infosys, a global leader in digital services and consulting, unveiled its new proximity center in Sofia, Bulgaria. The initiative was introduced as a part of Infosys’ ongoing expansion in Europe and it also aligns with the company’s strategy to harness local talent for global growth. The center is aimed to become a center of attraction for talented individuals. With this proximity center, they plan to attract, re-skill, and up-skill 500 new employees over the next four years. These new employees will focus on advanced digital technologies, such as Infosys Cobalt Cloud Solutions, Infosys Topaz AI & Automation, Data and Insights, IoT,5G, and software engineering.

Bulgaria reputed as an enticing destination for IT development, boasted advanced IT infrastructures and a robust pool of local IT specialists. The center is located in Sofia and promises to provide an ideal ecosystem for companies across various sectors, including financial services and retail, not only in Bulgaria but also throughout Europe, to collaborate and drive digital transformation initiatives. The center will serve as a hub for brainstorming, incubating, creating, and scaling innovative technology-based solutions.

This proximity center is positioned to assist global and European customers in accelerating AI and Cloud-led digital journeys. Furthermore, it will enhance Infosys’ existing relationships with clients in Europe particularly in the manufacturing, retail, and financial services sectors. The center will also play a key role in scaling up teams with expertise in digital and analytical capabilities, SAP, and cloud technologies.
