Teradata Comes to Pune

Teradata has announced the grand opening of its global consulting center in Pune.
The global consulting center will work jointly with Teradatas existing global
consulting center in Mumbai, which supports business intelligence consulting
projects being implemented in Southeast Asia and the US.

IBM has launched a Partner Sales Support Center, designed to provide IBM
Business Partners throughout India, with services specific to sales
opportunities. The center is a centralized team operating from IBM that will
help business partners with product positioning, competitive updates, customized
customer configuration, and customized product pricing.

Aptech Bags Four Awards

Aptech has bagged four awards at the event organized by the Franchising
Association of India. Aptech Worldwide won the award for Indian Global

Bangalore Continues to be Highest in Pay Scale

Zinnov has released its annual Compensation and Benefit Study 2008 report. The
study, spread over the Bangalore, Pune, NCR, and Chennai, covers the
compensation and benefits data of forty product development companies. The study
mentions that if one discounts the Pune outliers, Bangalore continues to be the
highest in its pay scale followed by Chennai, Pune and NCR.

IBM teams based in the North, South, East and West will help business
partners in those regions determine best technologies for their customers and
will help strengthen collaboration with IBM. The Partner Sales Support Center
initiative comes on the heels of the realignment of IBM System and Technology
Group from a product centric model to a customer centric model.
