IndiaSkills 2020: MSDE, NSDC Invite Applications from Students and Entrepreneurs for Global Competition

The online registration process for IndiaSkills 2020 being organized by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under MSDE has begun

India Skills 2020, which is a biennial competition being organized by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, has invited online applications from young students and entrepreneurs to showcase their skills and talents on a global level.

There are 50 skills to choose from and the potential competitors need to register through an online portal (state or national) to participate in IndiaSkills 2020 competitions. The candidates will be selected by the state government, sector skill councils in partnership with academic and industry partners at district, zone, and state level.

The selected state champions will be competing in regional competitions which will be organized by IndiaSkills in partnership with sector skill councils, corporate and academic partners. The regional competition winners will be showcasing their skills at IndiaSkills National competitions, says the dedicated website.

Who can Apply for IndiaSkills 2020?

Interested and eligible candidates must be born on or after 1 January 1999 for all skills apart from mechatronics, manufacturing team challenge, aeronautical engineering, cloud computing, cyber security and water technology, IT network cabling where competitors must be born on or after 1 January 1996.

Mobile robotics, cyber security, landscape gardening, concrete construction work, and mechatronics are team skill competitions where a team of 2 individuals is required for the competition. Candidates can determine their skill through the list provided on the website, and also go through the technical description of their skills.
