India is seeing a boom in technology startups, and industry body Nasscom, is predicting that the country will be hosting the second biggest startup ecosystem in the world in the next two years
On the sidelines of the Nasscom India Leadership Forum (NILF) 2015, Nasscom Chairman, R Chandrasekaran, said that by 2020, India will see close to 11,500 technology startups employing 2.5 lakh people. Chandrasekaran also observed that India's startup base is growing much more faster than Britain and Israel.
The industry body said that, Indian technology startups have received over $2.3 billion in funding since 2010, with more than 80 incubators and startup accelerators currently present.
