What was the concept behind BoxSentry?

BoxSentry is an innovative technology solutions provider, which focuses on
restoring integrity in business communications. Headquartered in Singapore, the

company was founded in 2003 with the primary objective of addressing email

security issues in the non-English speaking market. This was to meet the market

need created by conventional spam filtering techniques like content filtering

which is not effective for most major Asian languages.

Why has RealMail not been launched in India so far?

BoxSentry works through partners in a number of markets. In India, we are
exploring potential partnerships. However, as our product RealMail is also

offered as a managed service, we are able to address our Indian customers

directly. In addition, we tied up with Tata Communications in 2008. We are also

working together on opportunities to target the banking and finance sector.

Why would enterprises in India, who are already spending on email

security, opt for another solution like RealMail?

Industry statistics have placed the acceptable false positive rate to

0.020.05%. This is similar to saying, out of 10,000 boxes that a courier

company delivers daily, twenty will not reach their destination, who will trust

their important packages to them? Our patented RealMail system is built

specifically to address this issue and has been designed to work with existing

security solutions that are available in the market. This adds value to the

existing infrastructure without incurring additional tear-down costs. RealMail

is more than security, it ensures email sent tantamount email delivered.

Will RealMail also be launched in other Indian languages?

The languages selected for RealMail were based on two criteriaperception of

spam being generated from a certain country, and the most widely used language

of business. The language capabilities for Indian IT managers to use

English-language software are very strong. India also does not generate high

volumes of spam. So, we arent looking at Indian languages in particular as of

now, but this could change with market demand.

What will be your strategy for the Indian market?

BoxSentry will continue to target enterprises of all sizes through its managed
service or appliance offerings and governments to address the challenge posed by

the increase in false positives. Both these market segments lose opportunities

or revenues as a result of emails sent but not received.
