IIT Recruitment 2021: IIT Delhi Invites Applications for Research Vacancies Available in DRDO Project

IIT recruitment 2021 is being conducted for a DRDO project titled “Laser beam shaping for beam combining and high power laser applications” at IIT Delhi. There are two Project Scientist vacancies available and selected candidates will be engaged on a contractual basis with consolidated pay subject to periodic performance review, and renewable yearly or up to the duration of the project. Those selected will be paid up to Rs 63,400 per month based on their qualification and experience.

Who Can Apply for IIT Recruitment 2021 at IIT Delhi?

The notification says that there are two research vacancies namely Project Scientist and Senior Project Scientist, and the qualifications required for the vacancies are as follows:

Senior Project Scientist: MTech in first class or equivalent in the appropriate discipline or BTech or MSc in first class or equivalent with 3 years experience. Candidates with Ph or five years of research experience will be preferred. The selected candidate will be expected to design and fabricate diffractive optical elements for specific applications. Applicants with knowledge of Matlab programming and experience in e-beam lithography will be preferred.

Project Scientist: BTech with GATE qualification, MSc with NET or SET qualification, MCA with GATE qualification in first class or equivalent in the appropriate discipline. Those with five years of research experience will be preferred. The candidate will be expected to design and fabricate diffractive optical elements for specific applications. Those will knowledge of Matlab programming and experience in e-beam lithography will be preferred. The requirement of qualifying NET, SET or GATE qualification may be relaxed by the Committee in case of highly meritorious candidates.
