IIT recruitment 2020 is being conducted at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) for a sponsored project from Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence. There are two vacancies available, and candidates will be selected through an online interview. The selected candidates will be eligible for a stipend of up to Rs 63,400 per month based on their qualifications.
Who can Apply for IIT Recruitment 2020?
According to the official notification issued on the IIT Delhi website, there is one position of senior project scientist and one position of senior project assistant available for the project funded by DRDO titled “Design and Development of Display source, projection & collimating optics and Camera for use in helmet-mounted display and sight.”
For the senior project scientist vacancy, candidates with a first-class BTech in mechanical engineering with at least 3 years of experience as a design engineer of mechanical systems can apply. Since the work involved 3D modeling, designing, and retrofitting a helmet for aircraft, experience with a working helmet for aircraft would be an added advantage, says the notification.
For the senior project assistant vacancy, candidates with a diploma or BTech in electronics and communication with at least 5 years of experience in designing and characterizing PCBs can apply. The candidate must have demonstrated knowledge in designing, debugging of product grade PCBs for vision systems, says the notification.

IRD/REC-4 from the IRD website, and submit the duly filled form with complete information regarding educational qualifications through e-mail to msarkar@ee.iitd.ac.in before 10 June 2020.
