IIT Recruitment 2020: Applications Invited from Engineers for Vacancies at IIT Mandi, Salary up to Rs 75,000

IIT recruitment 2020 is being conducted for engineers at the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (IIT Mandi) for a FarmerZone Project. The project, being funded by the Department of Biotechnology, aims at developing a cloud platform that offers advisories to farmers for crop management across different stages of farming. Selected candidates will be engaged for a temporary period and will be eligible for a salary of up to Rs 75,000 per month based on qualification, experience, and the post for which they are selected.

Who can Apply for IIT Recruitment 2020?

The official notification issued on the IIT Mandi website says that there are a total of five vacancies available of which two are for Project Associate I for which candidates with a BTech, MCA or equivalent can apply, two are for Project Engineer for which candidates with an MTech or equivalent in relevant area or BTech, MSc, or MCA or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience can apply, and one is for Senior Project Engineer for which candidates with a PhD or MTech or equivalent in the relevant area with 5 years of experience can apply.

Candidates would also be required to have knowledge in Web/Mobile App Tech/Tools, including Java, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PHP- Databases like MySQL, Data Analytics/ML models theoretical understanding including Big Data, data analytics frameworks and languages, like TensorFlow, R/Python, and so on. Furthermore, candidates with knowledge of cloud platforms would be preferred.
