IIT Recruitment 2019: IIT Mandi Invites Applications from Mechanical Engineers for DRDO Project

IIT recruitment 2019 is being conducted at the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (IIT Mandi) for a sponsored project from Aeronautics R&D Board, Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO). There is one position of Project Associate or Project Engineer, and the candidates will be selected based on a walk-in-interview. The selected candidate will be eligible for a stipend of Rs 15,000 to 25,000 per month based on their qualifications.

Who can Apply for IIT Recruitment 2019?

As per the notification issued on the official IIT Mandi website, Indian nationals with a BTech or BE in mechanical or production engineering with a minimum of 60% marks or 6 CGPA (preferably GATE qualified), or MTech or ME in mechanical, manufacturing or production engineering or related areas with minimum of 70% marks or 7.0 CGPA. A candidate who is good at experimental work, analysis, interpretation of data scientific and appreciable scientific writing skills will be preferred says the notification.

The title of the project is “Development of carbon fiber reinforced polymer composites using microwave curing” and the position will be awarded purely on a temporary basis. The candidate will initially be hired for a period of 6 months, which is extendable based on the performance on the candidate.
