IIT Mandi Invites Applications for Online Workshop on Machine Learning, Participants to Get Certificates

IIT Mandi has invited applications from interested participants for an online workshop on machine learning, which aims at giving an understanding of machine learning that has emerged as a major research area due its effectiveness in solving real-world problems. IIT Mandi says that the workshop has been designed to deliver both the mathematical foundations of machine learning and its applications. A team of national and international experts from academia will deliver towards these objectives and provide a unique short program that can benefit a diverse audience from industry and academia.

Extensive theory and laboratory sessions have been planned with an assessment at the end of the workshop on the basis of which certificates will be provided to participants. During the laboratory sessions, support will be provided by specifically trained teaching assistants who are PhD students at IIT Mandi. The course will be conducted on weekends from 28 August to 5 September 2021.

Who Can Take the IIT Mandi Online Workshop on Machine Learning

The course requires the participants to have a basic understanding of linear algebra, python, machine learning, and probability theory. Although the course mainly targets software engineers and executives, the following participants may also take the course:
