IIT Madras Online Certificate Programs that Students can take Without a JEE Score

IIT Madras, India’s premier institute that has secured the first place in NIRF rankings, in the past month has introduced two online certificate programs that interested students can take. On the successful completion of the courses, students will be rewarded a degree from IIT Madras. There are no prerequisites, like a JEE score, that is required to take the advanced certification programs.

While the first program is the country’s first online BSc degree in Programming and Data Science, the other is a 9-month long online Advanced Certification Program in Software Engineering for IoT, Cloud and Blockchain in partnership with Great Learning. IIT Madras Online BSc Degree in Data Science

IIT Madras recently introduced an online BSc degree in Programming and Data Science, which is being offered at three levels namely: foundational, diploma, and BSc degree. The prerequisite required for the course is that the candidate must have studied Mathematics and English in class 10. Working professionals and candidates currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree Program or those who have graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree can also apply.

The official website says that the date of the online application will be announced shortly, and the process may end tentatively by 15 September 2020. While the online program will be offered in three different stages namely Foundational Programme, Diploma Programme and Degree Programme, students will have the freedom to exit from the program at each stage and receive a Certificate, Diploma or a Degree, respectively, from IIT Madras. IIT Madras and Great Learning’s Certification Program in Software Engineering for IoT, Cloud and Blockchain

IIT Madras and Great Learning have launched a 9-month long Advanced Certification Program in Software Engineering for IoT, Cloud and Blockchain The course will be taught by faculty and industry experts from IIT Madras and Great Learning, respectively. The program director is Dr. Janakiram, who has a PhD from IIT Delhi, and is currently a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Madras

The program offers 300 hours of online video learning sessions, live learning sessions, and a series of practical projects in cloud computing, blockchain and IoT. Students will also be given over 10 projects and assignments. Upon successful completion of the program, the participants will be awarded a Program Completion Certificate from IIT Madras.
