IIT Madras is Offering a Certificate Online Course on Finance and Accounting: Check Details

IIT Madras in collaboration with ArthaVidhya is offering a certificate online course on finance and accounting called “Business Accounting Process: Accounts Payable and Receivable” on the institutes Digital Skills Academy portal. The 12-week long course, which can be undertaken by both domestic and international students, focuses on the processes related to accounts payable and receivable transactions.

The course will be conducted by Ganapathy Nagarajan from ArthaVidhya , who is the programme director, and has over 35 years of professional experience and is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant who has worked in corporate houses in senior positions. The online course consists of 60 learning hours, and would cost learners Rs 6372 including GST. Upon successfully completing the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion from IIT Madras and BFSI.

The course, which aims at giving participants an understanding of the documentation and processes involved while performing transactions in finance and accounting, will cover the following topics:

• Booking credit purchase in the purchase journal.

• Performing the accounting entry
• Record keeping

Who can Apply for the IIT Madras Certificate Online Course on Finance and Accounting

The course is open to students who have a basic understanding of finance and accounting, and have completed their 10 plus 2 plus 3 from a recognized university approved by UGC, AICTE, DEC, AIU or State Governmen in any discipline. The course is also open to candidates with a diploma in commercial or secretarial practice. For international participants, the eligibility criterion is a graduation or equivalent degree from any recognized university or institution in their respective country.
