IIT Madras Invites Applications for Second Round of Qualifiers for Online BSc Degree in Data Science

IIT Madras has invited applications for the second round of qualifiers for its online BSc degree in data science that was launched by the institute earlier this year. Interested students will have to apply for the qualifier round to take the online BSc degree in data science. After submitting online applications, learners will have to go through a qualifier process, wherein they will get access to 4 weeks of content for the four foundational level courses namely English I, Mathematics for Data Science I, Statistics for Data Science I and Computational Thinking.

Learners will be provided with two to three hours of video content each week, including an assignment for each course that needs to be completed and submitted online before the given deadline. Only participants who are able to score the required average assignment scores in all four courses will be allowed to write the qualifier exam

All You Need to Know about the IIT Madras Online BSc Degree in Data Science

The IIT Madras online BSc Degree in programming and data science which has flexible multiple exits wherein learners can chose to exit from the foundational level with a certificate from Centre for Continuing Education, IIT Madras; diploma level with a diploma in programming or data science from IIT Madras; or the BSc level with a BSc degree in programming and data science from IIT Madras.

• The foundational level costs Rs 4000 for each course, and has around 8 courses that learners can take.
• The diploma level consists of two sections, and each course in skill enhancement would cost Rs 5000, and all others would cost Rs 10,000.
• The online BSc degree in programming and data science would take around 3 to 6 years to complete, and each course in skill enhancement would cost Rs 5000, and all others would cost Rs 10,000.
