IIT Madras is offering a free online course on artificial intelligence that students with basic knowledge on programming can take
IIT Madras has invited applications from students for a free online course on artificial intelligence called “Artificial Intelligence: Knowledge Representation And Reasoning”. The course, which can be completed in 12 weeks, starts with simple language of propositions, and then moves on to first order logic, representations for reasoning about action, change, situations, and about other agents in incomplete information situations. The course requires students to have basic knowledge on formal languages, logic and programming.
The course will be conducted by Deepak Khemani who is a professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. The professor completed his BTech in Mechanical Engineering, and MTech and PhD in Computer Science from IIT Bombay. Khemani has been associated with IIT Madras since 1989. While the course is free to take, to obtain certificates participants will have to pay Rs 1000 and take an examination that will be conducted on 23 April 2022.
