IIT Madras Invites Applications for Free Online Workshop on Artificial Intelligence

IIT Madras, in association with semiconductor manufacturing company KLA Corporation, is offering a free workshop on artificial intelligence and high performance computing technology in semiconductor manufacturing. The workshop is being offered under the “National Supercomputing Mission Industry Talks” series. The workshop is free; however, it is mandatory for interested participants to register prior to attending the workshop online.

The workshop will be conducted from 27 September to 1 October 2021 every day for one hour, and the e-meeting details will be sent only to registered participants. The organisers of the workshop are Pradeep Ramachandran, director and head of research, KLA Advanced Computing Labs and Rupesh Nasre, coordinator for NSM Nodal Centre for Training in high-performance computing and artificial intelligence.

What the IIT Madras Free Online Workshop on Artificial Intelligence Will Cover?

The workshop is open to all interested participants, and the following topics will be covered by industry experts over a period of 5 days:

  • Modern artificial intelligence in manufacturing.
  • Challenges in adopting machine learning in manufacturing.
  • TensorFlow: The path from model to HW.
  • Minimizing copy overhead while sharing GPUs on a single box.
  • Artificial intelligence inference on CPUs.

How to Register for IIT Madras Free Online Workshop on Artificial Intelligence

Interested participants need to register by filling up the dedicated Google form, and the link for the same has been provided in the official brochure. Details such as name, institute name, email, contact number and designation will have to be shared. The workshop is being offfered by IIT Madras as it is recognized as a nodal center by the National Supercomputing Mission Human Resource vertical. The nodal center is committed to creating manpower in high-performance computing to suit the current and future needs of the nation.
