IIT Kharagpur has announced the launch of an online course or lecture series titled “Innovation and Entrepreneurship in a Post-COVID World”, which will be available for anybody who is interested to take the course on the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL).
The course will also be accessible on other platforms of the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) such as SWAYAM Prabha channels, and also in the form of course materials and videos on the National Digital Library of India (NDLI).
The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur’s Rajendra Mishra School of Engineering Entrepreneurship (RMSoEE) will conduct the virtual lecture series from 22 to 29 June 2020. The program is basically a sixteen part lecture series.
The course will be conducted by Partha Pratim Chakrabarti – Role of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Technology to fight the pandemic and its repercussions; Manoj Kumar Tewari, Director, NITIE Mumbai – The drastic transformation of Supply Chain Network in the post-COVID world, its opportunities and challenges, adaptability; Dr Kris Singh, founder and CEO at SRII, California – Innovating education and skills for the digital economy, says an IIT Kharagpur statement.
Who can Take the IIT Kharagpur Online Course on Innovation and Entrepreneurship?
The course can be taken by college students, startup enthusiasts, innovators, strategists, working professionals, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and anyone who wishes to learn more about restrategizing their businesses in the post-COVID world.
The course aims to offer unique insights into “forward-looking fronts like data science, healthcare, education, agri-tech, energy, rural innovation, fintech, and supply chain interventions,” says IIT Kharagpur. “While doing so, the course also intends to throw light on precautions and strategies related to operations, execution, change in consumer behavior, and short term financial management,” added the institute in its statement. How to Enroll for the IIT Kharagpur’s Online Course and Get Certificate?
Interested and eligible candidates will need to fill out the registration form provided by IIT Kharagpur to register for the course and get a course certificate. “At the end of the course, an online MCQ test will be held and certificate will be provided to all who score more than 50%, along with good (50% to 65%), very good (65% to 75%) and excellent grades (>75%),” says IIT Kharagpur. Candidates will also be allowed to participate in a “Business Pitch Competition” wherein they would be required to submit a startup idea. Selected ideas would be rewarded certificates and may also be given opportunities to work with IIT Kharagpur’s Rajendra Mishra School of Engineering Entrepreneurship for further support, mentorship, and incubation.
