IIT Kharagpur is accepting applications from interested participants for a free 3-day online workshop called High Performance Computing for Astronomy and Astrophysics. The workshop is being organised from 20 to 23 September 2021 by the SKA-India Consortium and IIT Kharagpur under the aegis of the National Supercomputing Mission. The workshop aims to cover different aspects relevant for using high performance computing to solve problems in areas of astronomy and astrophysics, which has now started to rely on high performance computing.

The speakers of the course are Abhirup Datta, IIT Indore; Ashish Kuvelkar, CDAC; Bharatkumar Sharma, NVIDIA; Bhaswati Bhattacharyya, NCRA-TIFR Pune; Girish Kulkarni, TIFR Mumbai; Neeraj Gupta, IUCAA Pune; Nishikanta Khandai, NISER Odisha; Pralay Mitra, IIT Kharagpur; Prateek Sharma, IISc Bengaluru; Prayush Kumar, ICTS-TIFR Bengaluru ; Preeti Malakar, IIT Kanpur; Shriharsh Tendulkar, TIFR Mumbai;and Somnath Roy, IIT Kharagpur.
