IIT JAM 2021: Online Applications Begin, Here’s How to Apply

IIT JAM 2021 is being conducted by IISc this year, and the examination enables students to get admission into higher education at IISc and IITs

The online applications for IIT JAM 2021, which is being organized by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) this year, has begun. Interested candidates need to apply on the official JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) link available on the official website. Online applications will be accepted until 15 October 2020.


Students who are applying for the examination need to have a valid email address that they use frequently. Furthermore, only one candidate can be registered with one E-mail address. An online application fee of Rs 750 for one test paper and 1050 for two test papers for female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates, and Rs 1500 for one test paper and 2100 for two test papers for all other candidates need to be paid.

How to Apply for IIT JAM 2021?

  • Interested and eligible candidates need to first register with the JOAPS portal by providing their name, email address, mobile number and password.
  • Upon successful registration, an enrolment ID will be sent to the candidate’s registered email ID and mobile number.
  • Students will need to use this enrolment ID and password to apply online for IIT JAM 2021, as well as for any other JAM related activities.
  • Students can then fill-up the form, upload photograph, signature and other documents like category certificate if required.

Apart from using it for submitting online applications, the JOAPS portal can be used by the students to pay the application fees, check the status of the application form, download the admit card, view their JAM score, and then submit an application for admission.
