IIT Hyderabad Invites Applications for MTech in Artificial Intelligence: Check Important Details

IIT Hyderabad through its School of Artificial Intelligence has invited applications for MTech in artificial intelligence for which students can apply

IIT Hyderabad has invited applications for MTech in artificial intelligence. The program is being offered through the School of Artificial Intelligence, which is a newly launched department at the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad that offers BTech, MTech, PhD and a variety of minor programs in artificial intelligence. The last date to submit applications for the program is 14 April 2021.

The School of AI says that its mission is to train students to have a sound understanding of the fundamentals of the theory and practice of artificial intelligence and machine learning, enable students to become leaders in the industry and academia nationally and internationally, and meet the pressing demands of the country in the aforementioned areas.

Research Areas that the IIT Hyderabad MTech in Artificial Intelligence Focuses On

Students who get selected for the program will get to work on the following research areas:

  • Explainable machine learning.
  • Autonomous vehicles.
  • Computer vision.
  • Generative models.
  • Video quality assessment.
  • Speech systems.
  • Artificial intelligence for agriculture.
  • Bayesian learning.

  • Machine learning in astronomy.
  • Inference algorithms.

Kinds of MTech in Artificial Intelligence Available at IIT Hyderabad

Students can opt for the following streams based on their qualifications and the required eligibility criteria:

MTech Two Year Program: There are two options available under this program, Mtech two year teaching assistant for which candidates with a BTech, BE, MSc or equivalent degree in any discipline with valid GATE score, or those with a BTech degree or MSc in mathematics or applied mathematics degree from any IIT may apply. There is another MTech two-year, self-sponsored program for which candidates with a BTech, BE, MSc or equivalent degree in any discipline even without GATE score can apply. These candidates will be selected after a written test and interview.

MTech three-year program: Candidates with a d BTech, BE, MSc or equivalent degree in any discipline with a CGPA of 8.0 or above, and have a valid GATE score in CS, EC, EE, MA or ST can apply. Applicants must have already earned BTech, BE or MSc or, at least, should be in the final year of their degree. Those who wish to know more are advised to read the brochure for more information.

    To all those who wrote that exams should be conducted offline are very selfish. They just think of themselves and nobody else. This type of people should have some shame and think of others also don’t be so selfish mann!! I think the exams should be conducted online and no merit should be declared this year because each and every student has studies online so there is no point of conducting the exams offline as everyone has studied online so why can’t the exams be conducfed online? The government says the exams should be conducted offline because the students don’t have proper resources,did you even think that if the students don’t have resources to give online exams how would they have been studying the whole year through online mode??? Just think people!!!Exams should be conducted online ,Consider this request please….Government please take some action and make the mode of board exams online!!🙏Also government has given general promotion to class 9th and 11th students why??? If covid can affect 9th and 11th students can’t they affect 10th and 12th students..
