IIT Delhi Students Receive Over 900 Job Offers: Here is a List of the Top Recruiters

IIT Delhi students received over 900 offers in the first phase of virtual placements which was organised in December 2020 by the institute

IIT Delhi students have bagged 925 offers from reputable companies in the first phase of virtual placements, which was conducted by the institute in December 2020. The students were selected on over 250 job profiles from over 200 companies including pre-placement offers (PPOs) to the graduating batch of 2020-21, said a statement from the institute. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the hiring processes were conducted through the virtual mode this time, and students gave virtual interviews to companies.

IIT Delhi also added that more than 400 organisations across sectors offering over 675 job profiles have registered as of now for hiring the students. Many recruiters are expected to recruit students in Phase II of the placement season, which will commence from the end of January 2020. The hiring drive will continue till May 2021, says the institute.

“Confirmed international offers were received from geographies spanning Japan, Middle East, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan. More than 20 selections for international profiles have been confirmed up to now. Many companies with multi-national operations have currently offered students for domestic roles. These may convert to international offers depending on the situation,” says IIT Delhi.

The sectorial trend data for the first phase of the placement season at IIT Delhi is as follows:

  • Information technology - 29 percent.
  • Core - 32 percent.
  • Management - 8 percent.
  • Consulting - 10 percent.
  • Other - 10 percent.
  • Finance - 5 percent.
  • Analytics - 6 percent.
