IIT Delhi Invites Applications for Vacancies Available in DRDO Project, Salary up to Rs 63,400

IIT Delhi has invited applications from engineers and doctoral degree holders for research vacancies available in DRDO projects

IIT Delhi is currently accepting applications for research positions available in a DRDO funded project. The vacancies are available in two departments of the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi namely the Department of Textiles and Fibre Engineering and the Department of Physics. Selected candidates will be engaged on a temporary basis, and will be paid a monthly salary of up to Rs 63,400.

Who can Apply for Vacancies at IIT Delhi for DRDO Project?

There are two separate projects being funded by DRDO for which applications have been invited from eligible candidates. The details regarding the same and the qualifications required are as follows:

  • There is one Senior Project Scientist vacancy available in a DRDO project titled “Development of Soft Body Armour using Shear Thickening Fluids” for which candidates with a PhD in the area of textile engineering, materials science and engineering, industrial engineering, or operations management with first class or equivalent in all the previous degrees and certificates can apply. Interested candidates need to download form number IRD/REC4 from the IRD website of IIT Delhi and email their application along with the required documents to Prof Abhijit Majumdar at email id: majumdar@textile.iitd.ac.in before 23 February 2021.   • There is one Senior Project Scientist vacancy and one Research Associate vacancy in a DRDO project titled “Development of Time-Resolved THz Imaging and Spectroscopy System for Studying High Energy Density Materials and Condensed Explosives Under Functionalized Conditions. Candidates with an MTech in first class in mechanical engineering, or engineering design or allied areas or BTech or MSc in first class or equivalent with three years experience and candidates with PhD in natural sciences or engineering fields with at least one research paper in Science Citation (SCI) Journal or work experience in relevant areas may apply.
