IIT Delhi Invites Applications for Six-Month Certificate Online Course on Data Science and Machine Learning

IIT Delhi, through its continuing education programme (CEP) Is offering a six-month certificate online course in data science and machine learning. The course aims at skilling individuals in data science and machine learning, which is pertinent for organizations to ensure automation, effective decision making and give them a competitive advantage.

The six-month-long course begins on 30 June 2021 and live sessions will be conducted every weekend. Dr Hariprasad Kodamana, Dr Manojkumar Ramteke, and Dr Agam Gupta who are assistant professors at IIT Delhi will conduct the course on Saturday and Sunday from 6:45 to 9:45 PM. Participants will be awarded a successful completion certificate from IIT Delhi on scoring at least 50% points in each of the evaluation components and maintaining a minimum attendance of 70%.

Who Can Take the IIT Delhi Online Course on Data Science and Machine Learning?

The course can be taken by participants with a background of 10 plus 2 mathematics, or course completion in statistics at undergraduate level or graduates or diploma holders from a recognized university. Apart from students, applications have been invited from the following participants as well:

• Early professionals looking to build a career in data science or machine learning.
• Consultants looking to build their expertise or upskill themselves in data science and machine learning for better client management.
• Senior managers and business heads who oversee software development and machine learning projects.
• Entrepreneurs and business owners.

What the IIT Delhi Online Course on Data Science and Machine Learning Will Cover?

The course will provide an in-depth understanding of in-demand data science and machine learning tools and techniques with Python through the following modules:

• Data science essentials: Fundamentals of mathematics - linear algebra or probability, and fundamentals of Python.
• Statistics for data science.
• Optimization for machine learning.
• Machine learning and deep learning.
• Communicating data and analysis.
