IIT Delhi and AIIMS operated School of International Biodesign has invited applications for a one year paid fellowship in medical device innovation

IIT Delhi and AIIMS’ jointly operated School of International Biodesign (SiB) is currently accepting applications for a one-year fellowship at the organisation. The programme called iFellowship 2021 deals with medical device innovation. Both graduates and postgraduates can apply for the fellowship, for which applications are accepted twice a year. Selected candidates will be engaged for a year, and will also be paid a monthly stipend of Rs 60,000.

Who can Apply for the iFellowship being Offered by SiB Operated by IIT Delhi and AIIMS?

The fellowship is open to both graduate or post-graduate candidates from the following fields:

  • Medicine
  • Engineering
  • Design
  • Business

The official notification says that preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated a track record of innovation, passion for entrepreneurship and are willing to work in a team to create social impact through innovative product realization and commercialization.

Benefits of the iFellowship 2021

Selected iFellows will be mentored by faculty members who are from AIIMS New Delhi, IIT Delhi, MedTech Industry, start-ups, academia as well as hospitals. Furthermore, the program also offers post-fellowship support to the promising innovators, adds the notification. Selected fellows will get to work at AIIMs to develop innovative solutions.

The fellowship amount covers travel costs and health coverage. Interested candidates need to apply on the official website before 25 January 2021, and the shortlisted candidates will be interviewed in February 2021. iFellowship 2021 will begin from March 2021 onwards.
