A magnificent inauguration ceremony for the 7th Edition of Ideal Village Conference took place at Swarantrata Bhavan, Banaras Hindu University. Varanasi today.

The issue of Rural Transformation for Sustainable Growth will be covered at the conference which is being coordinated by Stanford University, WHEELS Global Foundation, Pan-IIT Alumni, and Banaras Hindu University (BHU).

This three-day conference would feature the lessons learnt and best practices from successful implementation in terms of rural transformation.

In morning of day 1 of the conference had round table discussion on Deep Dive Brainstorming Session on Livelihoods & Sustainability and Deep Dive Brainstorming Session on Health Care and Nutrition.

Shri Surya Pratap Shahi, Hon'ble Cabinet Minister for Agriculture, Agriculture Education & Agriculture Research, UP graced the event as the chief guest, while Dr. Sudhir Kumar Jain, Vice Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University, Prof. Kanwaljeet S. Anand, Professor of Pediatrics, Anesthesiology, Perioperative & Pain Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine, Arjun Malhotra, Co-founder of HCL Group, WHEELS Global Foundation, were present as the guest of honour. All previous edition of the events were held in the USA and this is the first time in India.

Day 1 concluded with the launch of the Souvenir.

The event will draw more than 800 attendees from 20 different countries, including representatives from more than 50 businesses and colleges. The Conference will include more than 100 professional speakers from around the world. Six major tracks, including "Healthcare and Nutrition," "Water and Sanitation," "Sustainable Agriculture and Farming," "Education and Skill Development," "Energy & Environment," and "Livelihoods & Sustainability," will be covered during the conference through a global competition. Eminent individuals from all around the world will be there to highlight recent advancements in every field. Parallel sessions and workshops will also document the best practises and lessons discovered from the effective implementation of rural programs, defining the direction of future international rural development.
