Towards contributing to this basic need, Huawei has launched the provision of clean drinking water programme in villages in and around Whitefield, in partnership with the MLA of Mahadevapura Constituency, Shri Arvind Limbavali.

We are pleased to inform you that the Bhoomi Pooja (ground breaking ceremony) for the construction and installation of the first of the four R O (water purifier) Plants under the Huawei CSR programme was conducted on Wednesday, 16th November 2016, at Nallurahalli Village, Whitefield. The event was attended by the MLA of Mahadevapura Constituency and ex-Minister for Higher Education, Government of Karnataka, Shri. Arvind Limbavali, BBMP Corporator of Hagadur Ward, Shri Uday Kumar, several leaders of local Zilla Panchayat, and BBMP officials.

The R O Plant installation programme is a 50:50 partnership between Huawei and the MLA (Under the MLA Local Development Grant Scheme), to provide clean drinking water to the villages of Nallurahalli, Seetharampalya, Mullur and Panathur, under Mahadevapura Constituency. Each R O Plant has a capacity to dispense 500 units of 20 litres of pure drinking water every day, which will tremendously benefit the villages.
