HPCL recruitment 2020 is currently underway to engage engineering graduates for apprentice positions in Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL). Only the candidates registered and approved on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) web portal and by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) will be considered for the apprenticeships. Selected candidates will be engaged for a period of one year as per provision of Apprentices Act, 1961, and will also be paid a monthly stipend of Rs 25,000.
Who can Apply for HPCL Recruitment 2020?
The official notification issued on the MHRD NATS portal says that candidates with a BE or BTech degree who have completed their engineering degree after May 2019 onwards from the following streams are eligible to apply for the vacancies available:
- Civil engineering
- Mechanical engineering
- Electrical engineering
- Electrical and electronics engineering
- Electronics and telecommunication engineering
- Instrumentation engineering
- Computer science or IT engineering
Applicants should have attained 60% aggregate marks of all semesters or years in the qualifying exam for General, OBC-NC and 50% for SC, ST, and PWD candidates. Furthermore, all the qualifications specified should be recognized by the Board of Technical Education, UGC or AICTE. Also, candidates who have work experience of one or more years will be rejected.

Interested and eligible candidates will have to apply on the MHRD NATS portal from 21 November to 5 December 2020. Applicants would be required to enroll themselves on the NATS Portal, and then log onto the portal using their user ID or Email ID and password to apply for the positions.
