How Will Elon Musk’s TruthGPT be Different from ChatGPT?

Billionaire Elon Musk has announced that he will be launching an artificial intelligence (AI) platform called "TruthGPT" to challenge the popular chatbot from OpenAI, ChatGPT, which is backed by Microsoft. In an interview with Fox News Channel's Tucker Carlson, Musk stated that TruthGPT will be a "maximum truth-seeking AI that tries to understand the nature of the universe.”

Last Month, Musk had confirmed that hew was planning to develop a ChatGPT-like AI chatbot of his own. If reports are to be believed, Musk has also roped in Igor Babuschkin, a former employee of Google Alphabet’s DeepMind research team to setup a laboratory to build the artificial intelligence chatbot.

Why is Elon Musk Working on TruthGPT?

Musk believes that this could be the best path to safety, as an AI that cares about the truth will not be programmed to lie. Musk has been critical of OpenAI, accusing the firm of "training the AI to lie.”

Musk has accused OpenAI of training AI to be "woke," or programmed to serve a particular agenda, which he believes is dangerous
