Leaves for Maternity and Childcare

It has been agreed to grant central government employees a special maternity leave of 60 days if a child dies shortly after birth or is stillborn, considering the likely mental hardship. According to Singh, one of these is the employee being granted a leave travel concession while on CCL and the employee being authorised to go abroad with prior authorisation from the relevant authorities.

He stated that a particular leave arrangement had been devised in connection with the sexual harassment probe. A female government employee who believes she has been mistreated may request leave for up to 90 days while her complaint is reviewed. It is declared that the leave granted to the dissatisfied female government employee under this clause would not be removed from her leave account.

In the Case of Missing Employees

According to the statement, the National Pension System now permits families of missing employees to receive pension payments six months after filing an FIR, rather than the obligatory seven years after which a missing individual is deemed deceased.

For Married Employees

In his presentation of the Department of Pensions and Pensioners' Welfare's women-centric changes, Singh mentioned a recent office directive. It stated that a divorced employee whose divorce decree was issued after the death of her parents would be eligible for a family pension if the divorce petition was filed before the demise of her parents.
