Hinduja TMT is yet another company which has fallen from last
year's ranking. While maintaining a decent overall satisfaction of eight
points, there is still much to bedesired as expansion brings in its wake growth
pangs.
Surprisingly, no one across the other 10 companies envisioned
HTMT as their dream company. And, within HTMT, itself only 12.6% labeled it as
their preferred employer. An image enhancement exercise is overdue, considering
that its employees also rank it low on the parameter of satisfaction with
company image. Satisfaction levels are moderate on aspects like pride in working
for the company, overall satisfaction with work culture, and infrastructure. It
is relatively better on aspects like freedom in taking decisions and
encouragement to take risk at work.
However, salary has raised grouse among the workforce with a
satisfaction score of 6.9. The average salary hike offered by the company is
also on the lower side. Of its employees, 27.6% are willing to leave the
organization if another reputed company offered them a 20% hike in salary.
Though not a huge number, it is higher than most of the other companies. In
fact, salary features as the foremost reason for leaving the organization with
75% of the employees. This is the highest percentage of employees within a
company citing salary as their chief reason that may lead to them quitting the
firm.
