The
first thing that strikes you is Hinduja TMT's slip from the silver position
last year to the fifth position this year. This interestingly is not by its
doing. The company has in fact performed better than last year, its E-Sat score
is up, albeit marginally. With over 1600 employees, this Bangalore based BPO
company was outraced by the other participants in the survey. With an overall
E-Sat score of 86.2, it still manages to beat the industry average of 80.7.
Training has been a key success factor in the industry. While some use it as
a tool to retain, the others use it to sometimes incentivize their workforce.
Overall the employees at Hinduja TMT are rather satisfied with the training
delivered to them.

Further, more than half (54%) of the employees feel the job is not stressful.
Nearly 91% of the respondents said they would recommend the company to their
friends. This was one statement that had the maximum impact on overall
satisfaction. And as many as 94% of the employees say that they look forward to
a day of work at HTMT, so it comes as no surprise that on most of the
parameters, like company image, company culture, job content and growth, salary
and compensation, appraisal system and people, the company ranks among the top
five.

According to 73% of the respondents, the salary is good, while 67% also felt
the growth opportunities are good too. A little over one fourth of HTMT's
workforce said that they would leave if they were offered a 20% hike. While this
is not too high, the industry average stands at about 22% or lower that the HTMT
figure. But at the same time, the percentage of respondents who said they felt a
sense of belonging to the company is also very high, at 94%. There is also a
very high regard for the fact that the management has been able to inspire
fairness and transparency in everyday administration-over 94% felt this way.

On the flip side, only about 64% of the workers feel that they have adequate
time for leisure activities. This could just be a herald of the onset of stress.
A higher proportion of workers feeling this way will add to the troubles of
keeping stress at bay.

before the situation turns into one that needs to be set right. The situation is
in total control as of now as 94% of the employees say that they are proud of
working for the company. And a similar number of employees expressed faith in
the leadership of the company to take it forward.
