Realigned across verticals and domains–a year after merger with Aptech SW division
Advertisment

A year after its merger with the software division of Aptech, the company
began to realign itself across domains and verticals. Like most other IT
services companies, the banking and financial services vertical is key to
Hexaware and contributed 44% to revenues. However, the company began to eye the
airline space and added six clients from this sector. Though Hexaware is on a
non-disclosure agreement with these clients, they include airlines from Japan,
Germany and the UK. Meanwhile, the company also upped its PeopleSoft practice
and tied up with the vendor as partner for the Asean region. Other service lines
in 2002-03 included e-business applications, application management and its
fledgling BPO business that brought in Rs 10 crore in revenues. It also added
about 9% to its total employee headcount, while revenues increased at a slightly
lower rate of about 8%.
